The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-Gyu) announced on the 29th that it will operate the “Marine Industry Introduction & Career Counseling Booth” as part of the side events for the 6th Incheon International Ocean Forum 2025, to be held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon. The initiative is designed to introduce youth to “career opportunities at the center of a world reshaped by the ocean.”
Held under the theme “Waving Economy, Rebound of the Ocean Industry,” this year’s Forum is an international maritime event that highlights the significance and future value of the ocean and includes programs to help youth explore career paths in the marine sector.
In particular, the “Marine Industry Introduction & Career Counseling Booth” operated by the Incheon Port Authority will feature a large number of public marine-related organizations under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Incheon Metropolitan Government. Participating agencies will provide attendees with broad insights into the marine industry along with practical career counseling opportunities. This is expected to not only deliver key career information to young participants but also serve as a valuable talent recruitment platform for participating organizations.
The Incheon Port Authority is currently accepting applications for participating organizations through the end of the month and plans to host a preliminary coordination meeting with x-confirmed participants in early June.
Incheon Port Authority President Lee Kyung-Gyu stated, " This side event will serve as a significant opportunity to enhance understanding of the maritime industry and present new career paths in the sector to the younger generation. We hope participants will gain a vision for the future of the ocean through the forum, and experience meaningful connections with the ocean through the booths."
