  • In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-Gyu) announced on the 25th that it held a ceremony at its headquarters (263, Central-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon) to reaffirm its commitment to establishing a safer Incheon Port together with employees and partner organizations.

     

  • IPA hosted a “Joint Safety Declaration Ceremony for a Safer Incheon Port” with key partners, including Incheon Port Security (President Ryu Chun-yeol) and the Incheon Port Facilities Management Center (CEO Park Chang-ho), bringing together labor and management representatives.

     

  • Participants of this momentous event, Incheon Port Authority (IPA) President Lee Kyung-Gyu and Labor Union Chairperson Oh Kyung-hwan, Incheon Port Security (IPS) President Ryu Chun-yeol and Union Chairperson Son Won-hyuk, and Incheon Port Facilities Management Center (IPFC) CEO Park Chang-ho and Union Chairperson Jung Sang-mo, have pledged the followings:
    To place safety as the highest priority To work toward a “Zero Serious Accidents Incheon Port” through communication and cooperation, and To actively support the creation of a safe work environment, enhance safety and health competencies, and internalize a culture of safety.

     

  • The parties also agreed to collaborate on delivering trustworthy port services to the public through strict facility management, operations, and port security, while promoting a strong safety culture across Incheon Port.

 

  • The event also featured a signing ceremony in which President Lee Kyung-Gyu and Labor Union Chairperson Oh Kyung-hwan officially endorsed the newly revised Occupational Health and Safety Management Policy, expressing their intent to ensure safe workplaces and protect all workers.

     

  • The Occupational Health and Safety Management Policy formalizes IPA’s safety principles and performance goals, providing a x-framework for setting safety objectives. IPA annually develops the policy in cooperation with both labor and management representatives.

     

  • In particular, to commemorate its 20th anniversary this year, all Incheon Port Authority employees are scheduled to electronically sign the policy, alongside labor and executive representatives, as a public expression of IPA’s philosophy of putting safety and life first in all its business activities.

     

  • President Lee Kyung-Gyu remarked, “This meaningful event with our employees and partners was a chance to reflect on the importance of safety as we mark our 20th year,” and added, “We will continue to foster open communication with our workers and partners to realize a truly safe Incheon Port for everyone.”
