○ The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-kyu) announced that it held a 20th-anniversary ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, at the Sheraton Grand Incheon in Songdo to commemorate its history and achievements and to share its future directions with stakeholders.
○ The event was attended by Chung Il-young, Member of the National Assembly for Incheon Yeonsu-gu 2nd District (Democratic Party), Bae Jun-young, Member of the National Assembly for Incheon Jung‑gu, Ganghwa‑gun and Ongjin‑gun (People Power Party), Heo Man‑wook, Director, Shipping and Logistics Bureau, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and Hwang Hyo‑jin, Vice Mayor for Global City and Political Affairs, Incheon Metropolitan City. Approximately 300 representatives from the port and logistics industries, affiliated organizations, the media, and Incheon Port Authority employees also joined in celebrating this milestone.
○ The ceremony featured a series of programs, including ▲ a 20th-anniversary commemorative address, ▲ congratulatory remarks, ▲ a celebratory video screening, ▲ awards recognizing contributors to the development of Incheon Port, ▲ a commemorative video screening, and ▲ the official announcement of the Incheon Port Authority’s vision statement.
○ Lee Kyung‑kyu, President of the Incheon Port Authority, stated, “Over the past 20 years, Incheon Port has emerged as Korea’s integrated logistics hub and a leading center for maritime, logistics, and tourism in East Asia.” He added, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed to the growth of Incheon Port and the Incheon Port Authority. We will continue to innovate to adapt to changing domestic and international circumstances, and pursue sustainable management.”
○ For its 20th anniversary, the Incheon Port Authority arranged stakeholder appreciation events, including ▲ the IPA Charity Walk, ▲ community volunteer service programs, and ▲ complimentary coffee for community members.
