○ The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-kyu) announced on September 29 that MS Dream, operated by Tianjin Orient International Cruise Line, will arrive at Incheon Cruise Terminal at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29.
○ MS Dream, a 77,000‑ton cruise ship measuring 261 meters in length, is carrying approximately 2,200 passengers and 560 crew members. The five‑day voyage departs from Tianjin, calls at Incheon, and returns to Tianjin.
○ This visit marks the first call by a Chinese cruise line at Incheon Port in 2025 and is especially significant as all passengers are Chinese group tourists. The Incheon Port Authority expects the visit to help revitalize the Chinese cruise tourism market, which has slowed in recent years, and to stimulate the local economy.
○ After completing immigration procedures, the Chinese passengers will attend a welcome ceremony at 1883 Open Port Square, visit major tourist attractions in Seoul, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, and then return to Incheon Cruise Terminal.
○ In collaboration with Otoki Corporation, the Incheon Port Authority will host a K-Food demonstration at the Cruise Terminal, featuring food trucks serving a variety of Korean dishes for passengers and crew members. A reception will follow, attended by Chairman Wang Wenlai of Tianjin Orient International Cruise Line, the captain of MS Dream, and other dignitaries, at which a commemorative plaque will be presented and officials will engage in brief discussions.
○ Lee Kyung‑kyu, President of the Incheon Port Authority, stated, “The arrival of Tianjin Orient International Cruise Line’s MS Dream marks a meaningful milestone in revitalizing the marine tourism industries of both Korea and China.” He added, “We will continue to expand cruise routes connecting Incheon with Chinese ports, contributing to tourism promotion and regional economic growth.”
