The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-gyu) announced on the 11th that it has successfully concluded the 'Small Business Website Development Support Project,' aimed at assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Incheon Metropolitan City and those associated with Incheon Port in creating multilingual (Korean and English) websites.

The project was initiated by IPA in 2021 to enhance the online business competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and foster collaboration with local businesses. Selected SMEs based on evaluations, received support for the development of multilingual homepages and coverage of homepage maintenance costs for a duration of two years.

Considering feedback from previous participating companies, IPA expanded the number of companies from 3 to 6. As a result of the recruitment period from May 22 to June 11, a total of 15 companies applied to the program.

After a comprehensive evaluation, IPA selected 6 companies as supported businesses, taking into consideration their contributions to Incheon Port and other factors. It actively listened to and incorporated the requests of both supported companies and production entities to tailor the website development accordingly.

IPA plans to conduct post-management of the websites until December of this year and will continue to support website maintenance costs for the next two years.

Chung Hyun Cho, Director of the Smart Port Department at Incheon Port Authority, expressed, "We anticipate enhancements in the online marketing capabilities of small and medium-sized businesses through the ongoing third-year implementation of the website development support project." He added, "We will strive to provide additional benefits to small and medium-sized enterprises in the future."

It is worth noting that to date, IPA has successfully completed website development and support for a total of 11 companies.
