□ Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Choi Jun-wook) has supplied a total of 2,908,140㎡ in five hinterland complexes (New Port Hinterland Complex Phase 1-1, Zone 1, Aam Logistics Complex 2 Phase 1-1, North Port Hinterland Complex (North), North Port Hinterland Complex (South), and Aam Logistics Complex 1) since its launch in 2005. This is about 313 times the area of Sangam World Cup soccer field (9,292㎡).

□ The area behind Incheon Port, which was only 995,463㎡ at the time of the launch of port construction, has expanded to 3,903,603㎡, including the current hinterland complexes (as of July, 2021), and has expanded by 392% so leading the rapidly growing volume of Incheon Port. Each hinterland complex is adjacent to Incheon New Port, South Port, and North Port, respectively, and plays a pivotal role in establishing Incheon Port as a logistics hub in the Seoul metropolitan area by reducing land transportation costs for shippers.

□ (New Port Hinterland Complex Phase 1-1, Zone 1) The New Port Hinterland Complex, Phase 1-1, Zone 1 consists of a "Complex Logistics Cluster (233,522㎡)" for general cargo and a "Cold Chain Cluster (231,822㎡), a specialized frozen and refrigerated cargo area. The Complex Logistics Cluster has been recruiting tenant companies since 2018, selecting a total of eight companies last September. One of them (K1 Co., Ltd.) began operation in June. Five companies will start operating within the second half of this year, while the other two will start operations after completion within the first half of next year.

□ The Cold Chain Cluster is a logistics complex that utilizes LNG cold and heat energy. It is drawing keen attention in the industry as it can attract high value-added cargo, such as for the storage and transportation of medicines as well as frozen and refrigerated cargo. The "Belstar Superfreeze Consortium" has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Type A site, and a third-party public offering process will be conducted for the remaining area (Type B site).

□ (Aam Logistics Complex 2, Phase 1-1), Aam Logistics Complex 1-1 near Incheon South Port has created an "E-commerce Specialized Zone (251,292㎡)* to foster Incheon Port as an e-commerce specialized port in line with the growth of the global e-commerce market. Two preferred bidders out of 4 were selected through recruitment of tenant companies (third party contest).

□ In addition, 79,338㎡ of Off-Dock Container Yard (ODCY) was preemptively built in Aam Logistics Complex 2 to process the volume of containers at the New International Passenger Pier, which opened in June 2020. Two tenant companies (Dongbang Co., Ltd and Youngjin Enterprise Co., Ltd) were selected at the end of 2019, commencing operations in July 2020.

□ (The north side of the North Port Hinterland Complex) The north side of the North Port Hinterland Complex (172,523㎡) was created as a "Wood and Manufacturing Oriented Complex Logistics Cluster" to handle the volume of goods at Incheon North Port, a port specializing in subsidiary materials of industrial resources. A total of seven timber manufacturing and distribution companies have been selected as tenant companies since 2020. They will begin operating sequentially from the first half of 2022 after completion of the construction of a distribution center.

□ (The south side of the North Port Hinterland Complex) The south side of the North Port Hinterland Complex, which opened in 2012, has a total area of 564,656㎡, hosting 14 companies. According to the geographical characteristics near Incheon North Port where bulk wood cargo is dominant, wood processing and distribution companies are mainly concentrated.

□ (Aam Logistics Complex 1) Aam Logistics Complex 1 was the first established by IPA in 2007. It is the widest port hinterland complex in Incheon Port, with an area of 961,442㎡ and has 21 tenant companies. In addition to its logistics function, the complex is playing a role as a forward base for imports and exports for the small packaging and labeling of industrial products exported and imported through containers.
